New Restaurant Tastings

I'll make this brief for you lovely bots with your work pilling up and school thinking it's time to up the ante in your academic career. So glad I don’t have to go to school anymore. When you are finished with schooling all you want to do is flip desks and say “I'm out bitches!”

This past week my back has been killing me. I don’t know if I slept on it wrong or tweaked it by moving weird, but the pain sucks ass. It's finally manageable but still hurts if I move a certain way. I wish I had some pain killers, like the strong shit you can only get from the doctor, so all this can go away. Or at least the illusion of it being gone.

To ease my pain my man and I went out to a new restaurant called Bell+Whete. It's old world food with a modern twist. I had many of their cocktails, all of which were delicious. There food played on savory with some hint of sweet carmalization. We are defiantly going back to try their happy hour menu and beer selection. You can check out there website here: Bell+Whete

Bitchin Friday: News and Coming Soon Stuff

            Hey little bots as we come up on our 1 year of this blog, I thought I would share with you what I am planning on for the next year.

            For starters I just want to announce that I have set up a Patreon page.  What is Patreon?  Patreon is a site where fans go to support and engage with the artists and creators they love.  You can donate or pledge money for your artist/creators and become a patron to them.  Creators depending on the amount the patron donates will receive special rewards.  Rewards depend on what the creator want to do, but it is another great way to interact with them. 

            I first heard about this threw a friend of mine on Monday.  I went to check it out and singed up for it the following day.  Come Wednesday another friend of mine comment that she was thinking of joining up and that put my butt into gear to get my page up and running so we could compare notes. The setup is easy and I won’t go into the details, you can go to the web site to check it out your self.

             So what does this mean for you, well it just means that you can help me out by kicking me some money to help pay bills and do more content for the blog.  This does not mean you will have to start paying to view the blog.  I repeat: THE BLOG WILL STILL BE FREE TO VIEW.  The money is A) a good motivator to continue my weekly schedule and B) to help build more content for this blog.

            Now you must be asking what other content could you do to this blog?  Simple, YouTube videos.

            What will I do on these YouTube videos?  Well for starters I would do a little blogging and some let’s plays, but I really would like to focus on geek party themes.  I would show you the setup in decorations or how to make them, followed by making themed dishes and cocktails.  I would be your go to for how to throw say a Hobbit party (eh get the plug). 

            Regardless on wither or not I make money off of Patreon, I do still plan to start up a YouTube channel some time in the next year.

Warning Blogs Will Be Sporadic

             Yes, for the next week or two I will be updating periodically and not necessarily on my usual days.  None the less I will try to put out at least 2 updates each week.  No on to my wrap up of the week.

           

            Last week I finally got the music for the pro bono job so I have been working on the mix for that.  The major issues that I’ve had with it are the vocals were recorded so low that I had to gain everything.  So now I have to combat hisses and buzzing that I wouldn’t have to deal with too much if the kid knew how to record properly.  Enough of that, I did promise that I would stop talking about it.

           

            But Saturday I did watch the Torchlight Parade rough out side my door.  It was a great parade and you can see some of the parade photos here: http://flic.kr/ps/2w2CEX

            Sunday was movie day.  We saw The Way Way Back and The Wolverine.  Both we good films but Way Way Back I would have to say is a little better and a more compelling story.  Although how could you say no to Hugh Jackman’s body, yum!

             Monday I just wanted to relax.  So I worked some more on the bono gig (stupid me) and cuddled up with my man on the couch.  Not a whole lot going on with my life but trying to make things happen is all good.

            Thursday I am going to be at my parents to help my mom around the place after she goes in for some surgery.  It is very minor, she can drive herself home right afterwards, but I still need to help out around the place.  So you can expect some random posts to pop up throw out the week.

Nothing New in the Neighborhood

            Last week I just didn’t want to write.   Between coming back home and organizing my apartment this blog feel be the wayside.  Not a whole lot has happened but let me just give you a run down:

• Secret  photo shoot was canceled due to the gallery not supporting the artists idea
• Been waiting for over 2 weeks for any communication with the composer for silly boys so I can do the mix and be done with this project.
• Saw 3 movies, This is The End=excellent comedy, Man of Steal=first 3^rd of the film was good the rest was mediocre and horrible mic static, World War Z = good zombie thriller.
• Attended “The Best Happy Hour” at the Seattle Center with a good friend.  Loads of fun and free admission is a plus.
• The apartment is unbearably warm
• Getting close to finishing the main story in Defiance
• Hung out with a good friend and her new beau

            So that is that, job hunting is a bitch as always but a girl needs to support herself.  Be sure to follow me on twitter for what’s happening in my life.

Bitchin’ Fridays: Ears Are A Ringing

             

            If you follow me on twitter or read Wednesday’s blog, you would know I came down with an ear infection.  What really suck is that it came on suddenly without any warning.  I haven’t been swimming but I think I may know who I could have been infective.

            It may have been a scratch from a cotton swab when I cleaned my ears.  It wasn’t painful, but it did annoy the hell out of me.  For an entire day I had 60 Hz humming in my ear.  I was ready to hack off my ear just to be rid of the noise.  I probably should have gone to the Doctor’s office that day instead of wait until the next morning.  Needless to say go to the doctors regardless if you are in pain or not.  It will save an extra day to heal.

            I am hoping to put out a party theme this weekend, be on the look out for that or check out my twitter for updates.
