More Death and Body Talk

Good Monday little bots. Hope last week was better than mine, I'm all ready sick of the new year. I just want to hit the reset button and start over. If you follow me on twitter you already know why if you don’t well I'm going to explain to you now.

As many of you know who read my blog last month one of my mom's horses (Annie) had to be put down. This cause a lot of stressed on our last remaining horse, Sackett, who was already having heart issues and feeding problems. For the past several weeks since Annie's passing Sackett had been moping around, barreling eating, and losing a lot of weight. With a these thing he became weaker and weaker until my mom had to come to a very difficult decision to put him down. We discussed it on Tuesday and planed for the next day for him to be “put to pasture”. However it had to be push back to Thursday due to the vet not having the medicine to knock him out before you euthanize until late that afternoon. So my mom decided to push it back to Thursday so she can have a proper hole to put him in. So sadly the very last childhood pet is gone, I miss him dearly. He was hands down the best riding horse any rider could ask for. Love you Sackett, you are missed.

In between balling my eyes out and thinking about my horse, I was working on the audio clean up for the documentary I received last Friday. It's going well the only major issue i'm finding is the consent boom pole handling. It's like the audio tech could not stop moving his or her hands up and down the pole. I've cleaned up as much as I could with out messing up the dialogue but it's still faintly there and its bugging me.

I've also been very diligent on my 30 day work out challenges. I feel a bit stronger and i've noticed a slight difference in my arms, my thighs still look like shit so I might have to repeat that challenge.
Along the same note, I ordered a body suite from amazon to use for my Poison Ivy costume that I'm making for Emerald City Comic Con. The Suite came in later that week but it didn't even come up to my breasts. This suite featured off to the left side is supper small if you have a long torso. The cup size was right one the bikini bottom became a thong and the front half gave me a massive camel toe, so ordering a “larger size” (they only go by bra/cup size) would be pointless if I had to do some major stuffing that would not work at all for my costume. Needless to say it was returned the very next day and I already got my money back from amazon.

This week I'm still working on the clean up audio and I have a Women In Film event this tuesday up in Capitol Hill. I hate going up to Capitol Hill at night, so many weird people and that uneasy feeling like you are going to be mugged. So see you friday if I am still alive then.

See you on the other side

Sad Week and Happy Holidays

With less than 3 days till x-mas I bet some of you are trying to fight the crowds for last minute christmas gifts and screaming at your computer for not having 1 day delivery available anymore. Lucky for me I did all my shopping in 1 day and now just have to find them to wrap them all up and haul them over to my parents house. While I look forward to this week and seeing my family there is going to be a dark could hovering over my mom and I this holiday season.

I cant remember if I posted anything on twitter, but my long dear friend Annie the horse had to be put down last Monday. Ironically it was after I posted Monday's blog that I got a call from my mom saying she could not get her to stand up. When you cant get a large animal to stand up the odds are that they will never get up again. She was suffering from arthritis and cushion’s disease for many years and sadly over the past two months her arthritis was causing her so much pain she could barley move around. The humane thing to do was to put her down. My mom had some neighbors help dig a hole to burry her in the arena and place her in it.

Tuesday I went over for a few days to comfort my mom and to help finish bury our poor horse. I've know that horse for almost all her life, she came into our at the age of 3 years old after being abandoned in the Alaskan wilderness in the middle of winter. She was 25 when she passed and one of the last childhood pets. She was a good gentle giant who loved everyone she meet. It's hard to say goodbye to a pet and especially one that has been with your for over 20 years. Miss you Annie.

Sorry for the sad bit there, just wanted to say Happy Holidays to you little bots. There will not be a post on Friday this week but I will post something next Monday which will be the last one of this year!
Have a holiday card from your Schad Girl

Early Birthday And A Sad Weekend

Hi there little bots. Well this past week I thought I would sneak off to my parents house for some early birthday festivities. I received some cool gifts and not so good news but let us focus on the good stuff first.

The good part of leaving town was that I missed all the May Day protesters.  My god those people (when I mean those people I am targeting those in the "anarchist" group)  need to be arrested on the spot.  for the past 3 years now they had their "protest rally" where it really is an excuse to cause property damage for businesses and personal property.  This year the cops did a decent job of wrangling them and keeping the damage to a minimum.  Even so, the vast majority of people who live downtown and Cap Hill are so sick of having to coordinate our lives around these punk kids (which a majority are not from Seattle but are bused in from Portland and Vancouver BC) who don't have a message and just want to cause trouble.      I say the city needs to put into effect that you need a permit to march if you are going to disrupt traffic.   We are sick and tired of these idiots marching without a cause, disrupting traffic, damaging property, and being overly violent towards people on the streets and police.  Get a job and move out of your parents basement you dumb ass children.

I left home Tuesday missing some networking events but I'm kinda frazzled out of networking and being social for the time being. A nice surprise while I was away was the gorgeous summer time weather that happened for three days. Highly unusual for Washington to be in the 80's in the spring time, but we will take it! The only down side to this weather is the yard work that is compact into two days so you can be ahead of the curve. Not fun to mow the lawn when the grass is so tall it stops the motor. Supper frustrating!
My mom and I went out shopping and enjoyed my my birthday week. The presents I revived were awesome, some fantastic jewelry, cloths, and books, but the best had to be the facial. I've had facials in the past I highly recommend everyone to go get one at least once or twice a year to clean out the pores.

Sadly towards the end of my visit my mom's last cat was taking a turn for the worst. She was 18 years old and has been in poor health for the past year. My mom brought her in from the outdoors 6 months ago so she could be more comfortable during the winter months and at that time weighed 5 pounds. Mom tried everything to give her more weight but in the last few days before my mom had to make the call she completely stopped eating and was drinking minimally. We took her in to see if there was anything wrong to cause her to stop eating, her tests came back with a bladder infection and kidney failure. That is when we found out she only weighed 3 pounds. We took her back home and weighed to pros and cons of doing a treatment for the track infection, but came to the conclusion that in her current weight and having 0 body fat, she was barely on reserves as is and to try to fight off the infection might kill her any way. So we decided to do the humane thing and put her down peacefully.
That was the last of my mom's cats and one of the few childhood pets that I have left. We still have the horses but they are reaching their old age as well.

Goodbye sweet Molly the barn cat. You were the best mouser we could ever ask for.

Wiping away the tears now, so how are you? This week I received my dress for catbug, I am going to attempt to dye polyester and hope it turns out. I think I will be doing a photo log of my process and have it up for you bots on Friday. Finders cross that it dyes and it isn’t blotchy. See you Friday for my attempts at dyeing fabric!
