I'm really doubting we are going to get a normal rainy Seattle winter and spring this year. I love the rain and dark gloomy weather, it's the only time i get to wrap myself up in baggy comfy clothing and no one cares. But alas, it appears we will be having a warm spring and summer which usually follows into fall. I don't look good in summer cloths. I want to be a sloth.
Enough about the "beautiful" weather, I'm happy to say that the trailer that I received last week I've finished. Cleaned up the audio, mixed it, and sent it out on Friday. Now I'm just waiting to hear if they need anything tweaked since they are presenting this on Thursday and I personally would like at least 2 days to fix anything before the meeting.
With my sound projects done, I'm shifting focus to my Poison Ivy cosplay For ECCC. I had to hand set the sheer top which took forever to do. but that is now done and I plan on tacking it on to the body suite today and sketch out the embroidery pattern for the top. My goal this week is to Have a good portion of the embroidery done and work on the bustle this weekend when my man can help me. If all goes well I will have progress photos next Monday.
I have a busy week ahead of me little bots, See you Friday!

Feet Shuffling And Progress
Sorry for the M.I.A this past Friday, I
was busy working on Foley work for the absent Director and warping up
that project with him. Once he signed the contract and sent over the
first half of the money, it was smooth sailing. I was able to
complete the work in two days that we agreed upon and even did a
little bit of tweaking of the feet on friday after he paid me the
rest of the money. Over all the experience went well and he was
happy with the end result and so was I.
I was able to get into contact with the
director for the documentary. I was getting worried since I was
suppose to get the trailer for the documentary last week and I never
did. Luckily She got back t me and now I have a week to complete it
before it goes to the client, but if I need more time she said she
will stale for me. After viewing the raw mix, it's not so bad and
can punch it out this week and still have time for revisions.
With all this work my Poison Ivy
costume had to take a back seat for a bit, but now I'm feeling the
crunch and need to step up on completing her before ECCC. I just
need to hand sew (yes this is why it is taking so damn long, I really
need to buy a sewing machine) the top portion and hem it. I am
planing on beaning that out the next couple of days then starting on
the embroidery for the top. I've ordered more leaves and need to
start sewing those on. Oh and lets not forget about making that
bustle, shall we... I think I will make it....I hope. If I plan on
making the entire bustle this weekend I should be ok.
This weekend I did take a break from
everything and went to my friend Arwen Cosplay's birthday at the EMP.
It was great to get out of my work space/home and to try to remember
how to interact with people. You should check out her facebook page,
give it a like and say hi to her at ECCC. She will be appearing all
3 days in 3 different costumes. Click the picture below to get to
her page.
So this week working on the trailer mix
and trying to work on Ivy. I will post something this Friday I
promise, have a good week little bots!

Film Stuff And De-Fluff
Happy MLk day little bots. I'm typing to you all from the ferry so this will probably be a short post. Are you all still buzzed over the Seahawks win last nigh, I sure am and still in a haze that we won. Love my team.
This past week I had another women in film event that I had to go to since I am now the greeter/money take for all events. The event was a presentation for "the art of the pitch" which should have brought in more people but with the heads of the bord for our region are so against social media, we got a smaller turn out than what we would like. This coming Saturday is a member meeting to discuss how we can improve this organization. WIF defiantly needs a new view point and heads of the board to make it successful.
The other part of my week I was busy cleaning up audio for the documentary film that I will be working on in March. These pieces are for our client Shorline water front restoration who wanted clean audio from there beach walks this past summer. If you know audio I can head you groaning about all the uncontrollable noise in the background. It's pretty bad but I got most of the noise down and just need to go over it to duck or cut out some pop up baby cries.
In other film new I recived a blind email asking me to do some Foley work. I've been emailing this guy back and forth all week trying to figure out what he wants out of this 2 minute foley scene which he cut it down to 1:40 in hopes to cut cost. But what he seems to jot comprehend is the Part he cut didn't have that much Foley so it really doesn't change my original quote. I'm having my doubts about this project since I don't have a company email and he stated that this was a labor of love for over 2 years. I get trying to get work for free when you re starting out but maybe next time plan out a budget and time frame before you start your film.
Besides film, I've been really good at sticking with my 30 day challenges. I'm already feeling super strong in my arms, I can feel the muscles and see a little bit of them. My abs are getting stronge which is helping my back so much. The thighs feel stronger but can't see much of a diffrence. I know I need to really up my cardio to see one of the results. So far I'm proud of myself and can't wait to show you little bots my progress.
Well this is longer than what I thought it would be. This week I will be at my moms to get some much needed supplies for my Poison Ivy Cosplay. See you bots in a week!

Humming Air Conditioners And Working
Last week I mentioned that I had
another Skype meting with the composer for last Monday. If you
recalled I mentioned that I had my doubts that he would show up for
our meeting. Low and be hold I was correct. Never showed up and
didn’t email me until well after our meeting. According to him his
girlfriend was being released from the hospital that day and he
wanted to be there for her; which is fine but when someone is being
released fro the hospital they and the person who is picking them up
has at least a 12 hour notice. If you knew she was being released
that day then why not send an email before the meeting to explain
your situation. Needless to say I have no future plans on working
with this composer in the near future. I understand situations come
up, but to not send at least an email prior to a meeting twice is
unacceptable.
The rest of the week has been peachy.
Working on the background/ambient sounds for Team Awesome, trying to
make a closed off meeting room sound compelling without it sounding
like an air conditioner rattling away. Had to take a break from it
this week so I can complete the Foley for this short then if I have
time to go back to the BG's to tweak it some more.
This weekend I took a little break and
went outside to enjoy the sun and grab some ginger beer at Pikes
Market. It's kinda nice just to relax and do nothing for a weekend.
Oh and I started to replay the first Walking Dead game from Telltail
games. Just seeing the different options that I didn’t make the
first time around. I also need to play The Wolf Among Us at some
point as well.
This week I plan on finishing the
Foley for Team Awesome. I also have to have dinner with my man's
mom. We haven’t spoken to each other since we blew up at one
another on Facebook two years ago. In my defense I was defending my
man from false accusations made by his older sister. So this dinner
will be interesting, stay tuned to see if I live threw it.
See you on the other side
