Loot Create & Website Upgrades

Last week I spent a majority of my time planning out my Wonder Woman costumes for Emerald City Comic Con and redesigning my website for my sound services.  There is still some fine tuning that I want to do to my resume and demo reel for my site, but look wise it looks ten times better than it did.  As for my cosplay, I’ve started to buy some pieces for my costumes but I need to go to the fabric store soon.
Thursday was Pentatonix concert.  You can read more about it in last weeks Friday blog here: Bitchin’ Friday: Pentatonix Concert Review
Friday was Loot Create Day!!  You don’t know what loot create is?  It is a monthly subscription (like a food of the month club) where they have a theme for that month and fill up your creates around said theme.  This month it was warriors.  My man and I received a t-shirt, bravest warriors’ bow tie (impossibear style), gas powered stick bag, dunny sideshow camera lens bunny, bacon love card, bravest warriors digital comic, and a bravest warriors stick and button.  I highly suggest signing up for loot create, you will end up with more value in the box than what you paid for. you can sign up here: LOOT CREATE.
February 2014 Loot Create

Damn cat messing up the shot.
Saturday and Sunday were lazy, sitting at home with my man playing games and trying to pin down days with my friends to hang out.  One of my friends we are working out a day to go over to her place to work on our cosplay for ECCC.  One I tried to get in contact with but I think I may have pissed her off at some point and I don’t know if we will be catching up together at all.  In any case I can’t be too worried about friendships when I am trying to gather up more work.
This week I am trying to push out a party Wednesday for you, I think I just cam up with a concept just now….  Also I will be going to a screening of a film I worked on this past January, got to keep up with my relations with directors.  Have a good week everyone and see you back here Wednesday.

Bitchin Friday: Updates

Good Friday everybody!  The weekend is coming up and I am still working on that documentary short.  I have a good feeling that I shall be done by to night or tomorrow morning.  Its sounding good, the over all mix level needs to be brought up.
As some of you know I am leaving next week and I have no clue if I will have internet in my hotel room.  As a precaution I will write and post an early Friday blog on Thursday and have a delayed Monday blog on Tuesday.  If by some chance I do find internet will post an update on Monday.
Time to get back to work and finish this project up so I can prepare for my flight on Thursday!

Come back Monday for my weekly wrap up.

Kicking Off The New Year On A High Note

Good day to you little bots, I see you have been busy hustling about this past week.  For me, the start of 2014 is going great.  I am being more aggressive and it is turning out well.

To start I applied to a couple of job and bam landed my self a gig.  Mind you it is not a great paying gig but one none the less.  It is a short documentary (only 22 minutes long) and all they would like me to do is clean up the audio (not that bad of recording but the found footage is jacked up, but they are cool and know it wont be perfect) and do the final mix.  The director seems cool, the only down side is that I wont be getting it until this Friday.  Now why is this an issue?
Well at the end of the month I am going to be out of town, traveling to California for my grandfather's 100 birthday celebration.  Yeah, I get to travel on an airplane and my parents paid for my trip down there, double yeah!  So while I am exited about traveling and having a gig, the one week to work on it seems to be a little daunting, but do able.  22 minutes should not take more than a day or day and half to mix.  I just have to plow threw it and plan wisely.

This week I need to go over to my mom’s house to get a couple of thing (and my hair retouched) for the trip.  Also I will be doing a couple of let’s plays on my man’s YouTube channel and having brunch with an old high school friend.  It is going to be a very busy month but I am exited and glad that my new aggressive approach to life seems to be working.
Just today I told one of those petition pushers (you know those people on the street corners asking you to donate to children or whale or whatever) to fuck off!  Well I didn’t say fuck off to them, I saw one coming to block my path (their way of stopping you) and I yelled out to him “don’t block my way, please!”  And it worked!  He stopped dead in his tracks and went to harass another poor soul.

Are everyone else’s resolutions working for them?  If not hang in there, it will get better soon.  Side not with all the chaotic engagements that I have this month no Party Wednesday will be up this month.  I will do 2 party themes for February.

Bitchin' Fridays: Re-Found Obsessions

Still stuck over here in no mans land, and with not much going on you start to explore some of your old belongings.  I am very greatfull that my mom never threw anything away, hell my room still looks the same as it did in high school.  While I was rumageing threw some or my drawers I discovered a drawer full of jewelry.  Going threw this large collection, I selected a few items that I wanted to show you.

This is a necklace that I recived from my mom and dad a few Christmas's ago.  It was from Nordstrom and has these beautiful stones that are almost translucent in the light.  It is very heavy around the neck, but very stunning peice to wear.

These earrings I want to say came from Nordstrom as well, but I had these for a long time and I hardly remember what I had for dinner 2weeks ago.  Brass wire with tiny light blue crystals intertwined with it.  These are supper light and catch the light beautifully.

These are from a jeweler in Santiago Chile, my dad bought them for me when he was working down there.  Sterling silver and both of the stones are lapis lazuli, I just love the bright color in these stones.

These are probably one of my favorite pieces.  They are from an artist in Bainbridge or Seattle (my mom bought them at a store in Bainbridge so sorry artist if I don't know your name).  They are made out of antler and  14 carat gold, supper light, and when you hold them up to the light the antler gives off this gorgeous tan color.  When I wear these they are suttle but eye catching.

That was a look into my jewelry past.  Catch me Monday for an update blog and starting this coming Wednesday the parties are back.  Stay tuned!
