Bitch'n Friday: Convention Pervs

Happy Friday little bots, hope where ever you are at it is bright and sunny day. San Diego Comic Con was last weekend; news and sneak peaks on films and TV shows were announced, New comics, and awesome cosplay. Unfortunately many instances of sexual harassment happened over the course of the weekend. Most widely talked about was the Jack Ass who thought it would be funny to stick his finger into the butt crack of Alicia Marie who was dressed as Tigra. I praise Adrianne Curry for beating the shit out of that pervert, but I wished that a male bystander could have restrained him long enough for enforcers and police to arrive.

It sickens me that people think that it is ok to go up to cosplayers and gorp them, shove cameras into there faces (but mostly boobs), or verbally harassing them sexually and or calling them “fake geek”. Were they not taught not to touch a stranger, ask permission, if you nothing nice to say; say nothing at all, or any etiquette what so ever? If they were not taught how to behave in a social setting, my god those parents need to be slapped. But most likely they were taught and forgot along the way and use the pathetic excuses “I'm socially awkward.”

Socially awkward does not give you the permission to act like a sexually predator. Just because a girl or guy is wearing a barely there costume does not mean you should touch them or take pictures just there private areas. Further more if you do touch someone without their permission or take a provocative photo, that can land your ass into jail and you will be labeled a sexual predator by the law. If you think walking up to a girl is awkward; just imagine doing that every time you move into a new neighborhood and have to introduce your self to all you new neighbors as a sexual predator.
If you find it difficult not to do these things, then you should stay home. If you still want to attend a convention where there are cosplayers and women follow these basic rules where you wont be a creeper.

  1. Always ask permission to take a picture.
Sometimes the person is on there way to another event or eating and they don’t want their picture taken at that time. That's ok, keep an eye out for them later in the day or even ask if they are joining a group photo shoot later in the day.

  2. When Taking a picture shoot full body or ask to take a selfie with you.
Just boob shoots are not ok! Or butt shoots, or up-skirt shoots as well. Also if you see anyone doing these things, please report it!

  3. Keep your hands to yourself!
This really has to go with out saying. If you want a hug, ask permission. Same goes with putting your arm around them. Most armor is a bitch to make and put on, we do not want to be readjusting every time some one touches it. When in doubt think of it as a strip club, if you touch the strippers you are bounced out quicker than a humming bird flaps it's wings. Also the the shit will be beaten out of you.

  4. Complement them on their costume and not their body.
You come off as a creeper if you start telling them how sexy they are over and over again. Or say they have really nice boob/butt, while you may think its a complement the person will feel uncomfortable. That is where you will be labeled as a creeper to every cosplayer, word spread like wild fire at cons.

  5. If you are going to harass some one claiming they are not geeky enough; Keep your mouth Shut!
If you personally think they are a fake geek and are only there for attention, just shut up. You know nothing about them and should watch this informative video about “fake geek girl.”

  6. Always say thank you and leave.
You want to thank the coplayer for allowing you to take their picture and or striking up a conversation with them. Once your business is done leave them alone, and DO NOT FOLLOW THEM AROUND. Again you become that creepy con creeper.

So if you can follow basic etiquette of keeping hands to your self and shutting up, you should be fine. If not not do not attend any convention ever. While I doubt this trend of convention creeper is going to end any time soon, us regular convention goers should keep an eye out and report or photograph anyone who breaks the rules of the convention. We are the one that can stop it, and put those in check.
If you have anything to add please leave me a comment down below. I'll see you Monday for a wrap up of my week.

Bitchn' Fridays: Destiny Beta Review

Hi little bots, today I just wanted to to a brief review of the Destiny Beta now that it has launched on both systems and is available to play for anyone (no beta code required).

First off this game can be summed up in 4 words: New Phantasy Star Online. It's basicly a graphically updated version of Phantasy Star with elements of Star Wars and Borderlands mixed in. Visually the game is pretty, good music, and really feels like you are playing a MMO on the console. Playing it on both the PS4 and Xbox One there isn't a difference in visuals or game play, it all depends which controller you like using more and which console more of your friends are going to play on.

Game Play:
It's a first person MMO shooter, if you are like me and really suck at first person shooting games it's best to team up with a friend and tackle enemy’s together. In the Demo you are restricted to level 8, there was only 1 competitive multiplayer game type that I saw (the rest said restricted so I don’t know if that means you have to unlock them threw more game play or have to be a certain level), all of the story missions and free roam missions are in the same area (very repetitive game play).

Every time you enter a new area for a story mission or go back to free roam, you are dumped in the same spot with the same level 2 enemy’s looking at the same satellite tower. You go threw the same areas, new areas open up as you go threw the story line but it is still on the same map area and you repeatability go threw the same place over and over again. The enemy spawn points are supper obvious and you can predict when the enemy will re-spawn after another player has cleared that area.

As for creating your character and picking out your class and race, there isn’t that many options. You have 3 different races: Human,Exos (robot), and Awoken (blue people); and you have 3 different classes: Titian, Warlock, and Hunter.

after designing your race you come to the character creation screen where you have a limited number of faces to choose from all of which you can not alter, you can choose hair style, markings, and coloring for your character. I guess I'm a little spoiled when it comes to creating your character after playing Skyrim and Mass Effect so much that I expect to make my face look clownish if I so desire.

The thing that made me a little sad was the fact that choosing a character class really doesn’t matter. There are no perks to choosing one over another, all can wield any weapon in the game and the special attacks are the same. You have grenade type, special supper charge attack, and your bitch slap (aka melee). Yes, each class's special attacks does something a little different, but it all boils down to do you want to see your character use a golden gun or magically blast your enemy’s away when you use your charge attack.

Multiplayer:
It feels like any other competitive multiplayer, you just do it on the moon. No new wheel invention here as of yet.

Story:
Sigh, the story... it's like they expect you to know what is already going on in this world. I wish they gave your character amnesia so you can ask questions like who the hell are these blue people or the history. As of now the story telling is flater than a crepe. Hope they fix this before launch.
Graphics:
Graphics look good, your character looks fine in cut scenes, and load screens are pretty to look at. I didn’t see any glitches. The only down side is they will make a spawn point where the enemy comes out (say a bunker or room) black. This makes it supper obvious where your enemy is coming from.

Sound:
Like I said I have no complainants about the music, it was well done and fits in with the feel of the game. The sound effects for the guns and vehicles I've heard before. Very redundant, very pew pew pitching with the fire arms, and the bike sounds like one from Star Wars. Could have used some more gack sounds with the gun when firing, to give it more of that post apocalyptic feel.

Final Thought:
It's a pretty MMO for the next gen counsels. I don’t think it will be as great as every one was hoping it to be when the full game comes out. I just don’t see this winning game of the year. There are a lot of repetitiveness in the game play, a lot of grinding that might turn off a lot of players. If you like MMOs you will like this game, If you are more of a FPS type of player unfortunately it looks like you will have to play the MMO side of the game to unlock weapons/gear and upgrade your character for multiplayer. At that point you would be better off playing Battlefield or Halo Master Chief edition.
So Destiny Beta is out for everyone to play right now. It ends on Sunday, so if you would like to try it and form your own opinion about the game, please do! I probably will play the full game when it comes out in September. For more information about the game go to Destiny the Game.

Bitch'n Friday: Godzilla Moive Review

I had the up most pleasure to see the new Godzilla film last night at the I max theater in downtown Seattle.  I will try to keep this as spoiler free as much as possible.

When I was a child I would wake up early on the weekends and watch the old classic (poorly dubbed) Japaneses Godzilla films.  I loved how they would tease you with the monsters and then towards the end, BAM, the big battle pays off.  That's why I always like old monster films, gives you brief glimpse of the monster, shaking of the bushes, and when you finally see the creature it is a reward within it's self.   With this new rendition of Godzilla it does just that and stays so true to the original source material.

Love me bitches!
Yes you do not see the monsters for a good portion of the film and when you do it's always supper up close, from a distance with fog or dirt derby, or on the news helicopter.  I didn't mind these perspectives since it is a take on different view point in which the humans (in the film) could see the monsters.  It add a sense of mystery and awe as these giants battle it out and humans are reminded how truly weak we are compared to nature.  But when the final battle comes it is a huge pay off with wide shots of the monsters battling it out.  I like to think that it is some random solider view it from a roof top.
Another thing that sent me to the moon was the sound mix.  I know you must be rolling your eyes and mumbling to yourself, "well no shit you like the sound since you are a sound editor." Well I feel anyone with a decent pair of ears will appreciate how well they incorporated the sound design and music to add tension and fear giving you the perfect roller coaster ride for your ears.  The heavy Taiko drums leads the viewers into impending destruction long before the monsters even reveal a finger nail.  The build up from the drumming along with impending beeps has the audience on the edge of their seats, dying to know what is going to emerge from the foggy depths.  Even  better is when they decided to give the movie a quiet atmosphere, building up tension with each passing second to only jolt them back with a loud boom from the monster.  The most pleasing sound came for the king of monsters himself, Godzilla with his iconic roar.  Granted it leaned on the bass side of the vocal range, but by doing so the audience and actual feel the rumble of the beast's  powerful roar.
Now I have to briefly discuss the appearance of Godzilla.  Finally America has got it right with his design!  He is currently the largest Godzilla to date but his looks closely resemble the original 1954 Godzilla.   Below is a pic of all the Godzilla's (including that god awful 1998 versions) So you can see how well the designers stuck with the original design while adding a bit of flair.
http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/TrueAmericanGodzilla/media/1954--2014GodzillaFamilyTree_zps1bff4fe7.jpg.html
I also love how they gave him more facial expressions, telling the audience their is more to this monster than fighting and destruction.  Godzilla has some presence of intellect of what is going on around him and problem solving abilities.  Also when they do the first pan up shot of Godzilla and he roars, the whole audience flipped out.  It was not only because of his roar but is facial expression right before, it was almost invoking a bitch please look.   Also his face is just too cute!

If you are on the fence, GO SEE IT!  While some people argued that there isn't any character development in this film, I just want to point out this film is following several people as they witness a never before scene event in human history.  It is a monster film giving a nod to it's classic predecessor and not a story about a guy who has to over come a monster to discover who he truly is.  What do you think of the film are you going to see it? Let me know in the comment section below.

Bitch'n Friday: Cosplay Project: Dyeing Polyester

Happy Friday little bots!  I thought I would shake things up this week with a little project update/how-to of my up coming cosplay for Catbug.  Everything thus far is coming along nicely for this costume and I'm hoping to be done with it by mid June so it will be ready for RTX.  So here is how I went from a white polyester satin dress to a light blue polyester satin dress.

I was looking online for a cheep bubble dress for Catbug since my sewing skills are still noob stage and I don’t own a sewing machine.  I found a supper cute bubble dress for under $30 on amazon but it is ivory.  Just about every web site that I went to strongly discourages trying to dye polyester fabrics due to the synthetic fibers not being able to dye well and un-evenly.
I threw caution to the wind and bought the dress:
http://www.amazon.com/Strapless-Bubble-Cocktail-Holiday-Bridesmaid/dp/B00144I0HQ/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1399657962&sr=8-7&keywords=bubble+dress

As you can see it is very shiny and white (I forgot to take a picture of this dress in real life so this is a photo off of amazon where I bought it).  After reviewing what dyes would work best on polyester, I chose to you Idye poly from Jacquard in turquoise.  I wanted a lighter blue than what regular blue would give me and also be closer to catbug's true color.
The Steps to dyeing your fabric:

First you want to wash your fabric either by hand or in the washing machine.  I did it by hand with a little bit of dawn dish soap to get some of the residue and dirt on the dress.  This step help to ensure that your fabric will dye evenly.  DO NOT DRY YOUR FABRIC! Put it off to the side still wet, this will help absorb the dye easier and you don’t have to stand in front of the stove longer than need be.

Next you want to prep your area so you don’t accidentally dye your counter tops or sink.  I've heard that it was a bitch to remove this dye from conter top and stainless steel sinks.

Next is to get a big pot large enough to fit your fabric, fill it with water, and bring it to a boil.  Once it starts boiling add your dye pouch and color intensifier.

Stir until pouch is dissolved.

I did a test strip with two strings that came with the dress one I left in for 10 minutes the other for 30.

These were the results:

As you can see the longer you leave it in the more intense the color will be.

I sucked up my courage and plunged my garment into the boiling dye.  I left my dress hanging instead of it still being submerged in water as a result I ended up fighting it for over 15 minutes to be completely submerged in water.

Now the real fun begins, you have to stand over the boiling pot for 30 minutes to an hour constantly stirring it to ensure that every inch is evenly dyed.  You do not want tot end up with a blotch dress.  Have a show playing in the background, I was watching Markiplier play some horror game.  I enjoyed the commentary he had.

After an hour my dress looked like this:

So now it was time to rinse the dress and pray that it turned out.

When rinsing you want to do warm water with a little bit of  mild detergent to remove excess dye so it wont rub off on you or other objects.

The most intense part is drying.  You need to hang dry it and hope that it did not blotch up any where.  It is hard to tell if it did while it is wet.  Also the color looks darker than what it will be once dried.

After waiting all night my dress turned out better than what I could have hoped.

It is very wrinkly, but nothing like a little ironing wont help.

Over all I'm pleased with how the whole dyeing process went.  If I every had to dye polyester again I would, but with a bigger pot.

Hope this help you if you decide to try to dye synthetic fabric.  Keep in mind that the color might differ from what the color packaging might say.  Defiantly do a test strip to see what color range you will get.

Still have more to do on this dress, like adding beading to the bodice to add a little flair.  Right now it look dull and boring to me at least.    If you have questions feel free to leave them in the comments below.  Enjoy your weekend little bots, see you Monday for a weekly wrap-up.

Bitchn' Friday: More Shameless Self Promotion

Happy Friday my little Bots, see I did manage to post something up today. So what if it is me shamelessly promoting a film that I worked on. Haha ha, hum....
Well lets get down to it.

A few months ago I mentioned that I was working on a documentary short, well now it's starting to make it's way around the festival circuit. It's kicking off tonight, then it will have a run at the Seattle true independent film festival (or STIFF for short) starting on May 6th. Fingers crossed for more festivals to come. For more information about the film, it's call Unified Struggle FYI, you can check out a sweet article here: “Unified Struggle” film tackles deportation, justice, and activism
Ticket information for the STIFF event here: STIFF
and here is the trailer for the film:

If you cant make it out to view it that's ok, you can always view other films that i've done if you have Netflix or Hulu account. The films are The Ordinary Skier and Carbon Nation, both are documentaries and a run time of about 90 minutes each.

Ok I'm done promoting myself, but I will be at the STIFF showing on May 6th. Come say hi and support local film makers. See you Monday for a wrap up of my week.

Bitch'n Friday: Relationship Advice

Everyone and their mom can tell you the do's and dont's of dating and relationships.  When you are in one you don't want to hear it, especially from someone whose longest relationship only lasted less than six months.  But their are some advices that you should follow.

    COMMUNICATION!
This above all else is the most important in any relationship.  If something is bugging you relationship wise, talk to your partner.  Do not ever go to your friends or family (unless your partner is doing something illegal or is abusive then by all means get out, tell someone, and don't go back without a police escort) to bitch about your issues with them leaving like dirty dishes in the sink or not texting back right away.  A lot of times friends who may not particularly like your choice in a partner might lead you down a path where you will inevitably break up.
Relationships have their up and downs, by being able to talk about issues that may come up it is easier to solve with two people than it is with outside influences voicing there opinions.  Even if your partner is closed off and doesn't like confrontation you still need to press the issue of always being there to talk about anything that has to do with the relationship or life in general.
I'm one of those people who prefer to keep their emotions bottled up and stew over a matter rather than talk it out, but over time my man has shown me time and time again that it is better to talk it out then let it boil up inside and have an irrational out burst.  By keeping communication open with your partner you will find that your relationship will last longer and you will find that you can communicate better in other areas in your life as well.

     TRUST
If you cant trust your partner at all, then your relationship is doomed to fail.  Everyone once in a while wonders if their partner is cheating on you with someone else, or hiding money from you, but it is important to what was that again kids....COMMUNICATE!  Told you it is the most important advice to follow.  Talk to your partner about your insecurities and your feelings before you feel the need to hack into their phone or computer.  That is a very quick way for your partner to not to trust you and there starts the troubles of your relationship.

    TAKE A BREAK
When I say take a break I do not mean separate from each other for a couple of months so you can go screw other people, again that is how break the trust of the other person.  What I mean is to have a little R&R time for yourself with out your partner.  This can an afternoon reading by yourself, go shopping with friends, or going for a walk around the neighborhood.  During this time you can detox yourself from the relationship, reflect upon it, or even not think about it at all.  You time is important.  When you get back from your break your relationship feels that much sweeter.

So that is my two cents to throw at you my lovely bots.  I've been with the same man for over 8 years now, and been living together for 7 of those years, yes we have had our ups and downs but we have worked threw those rough times only to make us stronger in our relationship.  I know every relationship is different, I would love to hear some your your own advice or relationship love/horror stories.  Leave them in the comments below.  I might come back to this subject again to talk about some relationship donts and stupid advice from "professionals".

Bitch'n Friday's: Comic Book Characters For Causes

Good Friday morning little bots.  I completely forgot what day it is today and thus had to scramble to put something up for you all.   So i thought long and hard (like 2 minutes) and I thought I would give a shout out to my friends charity Comic Book Characters for Causes.
What CBCC is a Seattle based "charity" raising money for local children hospitals, camps, and American cancer society all for children dressed as comic book heroes, and some villains.   Why I put charity in quotes because they are still working on reviving there federal employer identification number which is used for tax purposes.  So if you donate to them as of now you cannot write it off in your taxes.  However I still highly encourage you to donate if you see them at one of their charity events or at a convention since every is volunteer and all the money goes to the children.
Their next event is Carol Corps Celebration at the Museum of Flight and also Emerald City Comic Con.  If you would like to go to Carol Corps click here for tickets:
And for more information on Comic Book Characters for Causes click here:

Bitchin’ Friday: Cosplay Prep

Late blog but I do have an excellent excess for it.  I was finishing up sewing/embroidering side one of my bombshell Wonder Woman cosplay.  Good lord my fingers and neck are sore from stitching.   But with   Which is why if you plan on cosplaying at any convention you should always plan ahead of time and figure out how long will each take and how much time you have to spend on working on it all together.
Emerald City Comic Con coming up in two weeks, I really need to get my butt into gear and get things done.
I have been planning out my two wonder women costumes for about 3-4 months.  The very first step is to gather as many reference photos as possible of the character/outfit you want to do.  If you only have one or two photos of the outfit, try your best in interpreting what the backside or lower half my look like.  Try drawing out a few sketches to flush out your ideas.
Next is to make a list of what you will need for the outfit, for example if you are doing a traditional wonder woman your list might look something like this:
  • Tiara
  • Red corset
  • Blue shorts
  • Cuffs
  • Boots
  • Rope
Then turn each of these items into categories, and in each category you will make a list of materials you will need to make that item.
From there you go forth to your craft, fabric, and hardware stores for your materials.  Make sure you buy a little bit extra of each item just in case you mess up or might need it for your repair kits for the convention.
Next you will want to make templates out of paper (or whatever) of your items to make sure that they will fit on your body.  From there I usually break it down to what is important or biggest/time consuming part of the outfit and do that first.  You will want to start on this no later than a month and half out from the convention.  The rest of the items prioritize those, leaving accessories towards the end of the list (unless your character is known for that item them you might want to put that near the top).
That is pretty much it for prepping to make your cosplay.  It may seem simple and unnecessary, but you learn very quickly you don’t want to be running to the craft store last minute hoping the have the material you need to finish you costume. Also, do not leave painting last minute; you will end up with tack paint with the possibility of it smudging and getting on the rest of your costume.

I’m very frazzled, have been all week, with any luck I can get my head back on strait this weekend and rock out next week.  See you bots Monday for a weekly wrap up.

Bitchin’ Friday: Morning Manners

For the past couple of weeks every time my man has woken up to get ready for work and leave the house he has woken me up and caused me to have weird sleep patterns.  Sometimes I would drift in and out of sleep state or cant fall back to sleep and thus I get up early, but most of the time I would go into one of those drift states and not wake up until 9 or 10 am.   This really sucks because I can’t fall asleep until midnight due to his snoring.  So what can someone do to make it easier on the person who is sleeping?
For starters, turn down the noise.  By noise I mean the TV, making breakfast, and cleaning dishes.  I appreciate that you are doing dishes but those dishes you are doing are from last night and should have been dealt with last night.  I also understand you need to eat and have some forum of entertainment, but you don’t need to have the TV volume up supper high and keep banning pots to a minimal.

On the subject of noise, if you want to have sex early in the morning, there are better way to do so than to blast your laptop speakers in the bathroom while playing a porno flick.  I am very curious as to why you would think I would want to venture down the stairs away from my warm bed to have a quickie in the shower.

Another thing you can do is to turn off the lights when you leave the house.  Lights keep me up, it is not hard to flip a switch or open an ipad to turn off our lights.  Also make sure you throw away your trash before you leave.  We have cats who love to play with trash.

It is the simple things that can keep a person from having a pleasant sleep and awakening.  So what are your pet peeves that prevent you from having a restfully morning?  Write them in the comments below and I will see you lovely bots on Monday.

Bitchin’ Friday: Valentines Day

If you are single and went on Facebook today, you will notice a trend amongst your couple friends.  They have replaced there usual duck face selfies in place of a selfie of them and there significant other.  This is both obnoxious and a stab to all there single friends.  Before you ask, yes I did replace my picture on Facebook with one of my man and I…because I’m and asshole.
Valentines Day is not meant to be just for couples to flaunt there love for one another.  It is also saying how much you care about your friends, family, and even pets.  For this Valentines Day grab a friend, family member, or pet and tell them how much they mean to you.  You don’t have to buy them lavish gifts; just a simple hug or scratch behind the ears will tell them just how much you mean to them.

So instead of moping around and hating on couples, grab a friend and do a friends date night and remind them why you two are friends.  As for me and my man we are doing a low key V-day.  I’m making love nachos and playing Titian Fall beta.  So what are you plans for this day?  Leave me a comment below on what you are doing and why you love/hate this day.

Bitchin’ Friday: Supper Bowl

If you live in the Seattle area then you know that Supper Bowl Sunday is almost here.  With all the hype and excitement spilling out across the city it is hard not to get wrapped up in it.  There are still those who turn there noses up and proclaim that they do not care about sports.  You might be asking, if I don’t care about sports then why should I be rooting and celebrating something that I don’t care about?
Well ok, but why not get your head out of your ass and just come celebrate the fact that an entire city (and the majority of the state) has finally come together as equals and are celebrating as one.  No politics or other agendas are in the way and everyone can agree on one thing, Go Hawks!  It has become a greeting and a way to wish someone well, much like saying Merry Christmas or Happy New Year.
Many still may not get the idea of rallying behind a team for better or worse.  They may have never played in a sport so this concept of cheering on a team is foreign to them.  The feeling that the fans get when there team wins or loses is very similar to corporative gaming.  That excitement and joy you may feel when your team crushes an opponent in Halo, or when your guild has completed a dungeon raid successfully are the feelings that a sports fan feels.  That wave of excitement washes over you and won’t let you go.
Even if you still don’t care about sports, it is still nice to have a bit pride for your city.  So slap on some blue and green, doesn’t even need to say the team’s name on it, and walk down the street head held high.  You love your city and you’re proud to be part of thrill that filled the cities street.  And when someone yells out “Go Seahawks” you respond with “Go Hawks” since it is now a greeting to your fellow citizen.
 Go Hawks!

Bitchi’n Friday: Collaborating With Others

You scratch my back and I will scratch yours, which is how it should go when you collaborate with some one right?  I wanted to write this for last week’s Bitch’n Friday, but I decided to wait a whole week to see if they would hold up on there end of the stick.  I am not going to personally call anyone out but you could figure it out if you went back a couple of posts.
It’s pretty shitty when you hold up your end or only complete what would benefit them.  As someone starting off in blogging or YouTube, it is great to be able to collaborate with someone who has a bigger audience in hopes to gain some more traffic.  But it is only good if the other person promotes you.  Now I will say that the person that my man and I collaborated with did promote us twice during the live stream session.  What failed was the follow up on what said person was going to do; that was to upload the session live stream to YouTube so the broader audience can see it.
It has been well over a week and said person has posted another live stream that they made after our collaborative stream.  This begs the question as to why.  Why did said person not upload our joint video when you said you would?  For that answer I can not say.  I don’t know if the captured file got corrupted, was too lazy, or forgot about.  In any case this is a low blow.
To top it off after the stream session on said person’s channel they left before we could make our own video for my man’s channel.  And that sucks because we all planed on scratching each other’s backs.  I go on your channel and you come on mine.  And said person failed to hold up on there end of the stick.
We don’t every plan on collaborating with this person again.  Already been burnt twice by them not going in for a third time.

What horror stories do you have about collaborating with some one, or would you rather not collaborate with anyone at all?  Let me know in the comments below.  See you guys on a late blog on Tuesday.

See you on the other side.

Bitchin Friday: Updates

Good Friday everybody!  The weekend is coming up and I am still working on that documentary short.  I have a good feeling that I shall be done by to night or tomorrow morning.  Its sounding good, the over all mix level needs to be brought up.
As some of you know I am leaving next week and I have no clue if I will have internet in my hotel room.  As a precaution I will write and post an early Friday blog on Thursday and have a delayed Monday blog on Tuesday.  If by some chance I do find internet will post an update on Monday.
Time to get back to work and finish this project up so I can prepare for my flight on Thursday!

Come back Monday for my weekly wrap up.

See you on the other side.

Bitch’n Friday: Survival Guide To Thanksgiving

Ok, I know I didn’t update Monday but I will have a very long explanation this coming Monday.  Today I wanted to give you my tips for surviving Thanksgiving with your relatives.  Lucky for me, this year it will just be my mom and I.  For others I know are not so lucky, you may have that annoying Aunt asking questions about your love life, or an asshole grandparent nagging you about your weight.  So here are my quick tips on getting threw your turkey day.

            1) Arrive an hour before dinner.
This is to ensure that side conversations are kept minimal and you are not standing around bored.  You figure in after walking threw and greeting everyone you have 45 minutes to kill before dinner.  During that wait you can grab a drink and find the one person in the room that won’t drive you up the wall.

            2) Bring alcohol
I’m not talking about wine or beer (which wine would be acceptable in this setting but a bit over done).   I’m talking about the hard stuff.  Bring a bottle of Bourbon or Brandy or Whisky.  Hell, bring all three if your relatives are that bad.   Bonuses points for saying that this is a gift to the host or hostess.

            3) Ask to help the host
Helping out the host cuts down on there time from setting the table or cooking the sides.  By helping them out if someone tries to talk to you that you don’t like, you tell them you are busy helping the host.  Staying busy and look like you are in a hurry will make the other guest back off and give you space.

            4) Be the runner
The runner is the golden ticket out the door.  Wither it be something minor like getting more butter for roll, be all over that shit.  Just be sure not to get a tag along while you go out.

            5) Avoiding prodding questions
This is bound to happen no matter what you do. You are sitting at the table eating your meal when a cousin asks you about your love life, work, religion, and or politics.  The best way around this is to have a short honest response.  This might shock them from not asking any more question or they will probe more.  If they do the latter remind them that it is quite rude to be asking hot button issues (in relation to religion, politics, and sex) in a neutral setting. Or you can simply state that it is your decision and it fits your life style. All else fails strike up a conversation with someone else and ignore that bitch for the rest of the night.

            6) Escape plan
Prior to arriving to the home, you should call the host and tell them you can only stay until a certain time.  This is a guarantied out with out the guilt.  You should also stay for desert but if your family is driving you up the wall stage a fake call from work.  Have you phone on silent and pretend the buzzer went off. Excuses yourself from the table or conversation to head to the bathroom.  Take a few minutes and breath, come back out saying there is an emergency and they need you at work right now.  This is a dick move and should only be used if you are considering murdering your family that evening.

There you have it, my easy in out surviving the thanksgiving meal.  I will have a blog post on Monday and a party Wednesday next week as well.  Hope all you lovely folks are enjoying your new PS4 and Xbox Ones this weekend.  Me, I will be waiting around for my Xbox One to show up at my door step some time this afternoon.

See you on the other side.

Hi little bots hope you guys are having an awesome Friday of unpacking your Playstation 4 or running about in a field of dead grass.  Going to keep this brief this week, but I just wanted to thank all five of you lovely bots who persistently keep coming back to my crazy little corner of the interwebs.  If you can’t read the title we have reached 1500 page views as of today.  I would never have imagined receiving that many views in under a year.
I started this blog the first of this year.  Well that is a lie; I started the Monday before the first of the January.  In any case, I had thought I would get maybe 500-800 views by the time my one year anniversary on this blog but you guys have proved me wrong.  And as an added bonus I didn’t tell a single real world friend about this blog.  These are strictly the view count of random bots and people looking for another blog.

            In all seriousness, Thank you
                                          Thank you
                                          Thank you

Let’s keep breaking my expectations and keep growing on this blog.  Keep telling friends and sharing this blog on all the social media sites.  If you want to see something more from this blog or have any suggestions on growth, please leave a comment below.  So please keep coming back and who knows what the next year may come.

Bitch’n Friday: How To Survive A Cold

Well that damn sore throat finally turned into a cold and I felt like shit the past couple of days.  I didn’t really feel like writing today, aside form the cold my awesome boyfriend bought me a 3Ds XL for anniversary/Christmas gift and all I want to do is play Pokemon X.  But for you my lovelies I shall write a brief survival guide to a cold/ how to get someone to sympathies with you.

Step 1, you just got the cold:
Once the cold has come with the gross dripping snot, watery eyes, and hunched over body; it is time to hunker down in a warm dark corner of the world.  In this case your bedroom.  If it is a really nasty cold call in sick from work, if you do this you have to sound really raspy and clogged up.  Also if you share a bed with a partner make them sleep somewhere else, you need them healthy so you can use them as your nurse slave.

Step 2, gather the essentials
When you have cleared out your space and time on your calendar to be hunkered down for the next couple of days, it is time to gather the equipment/medical supplies.
1: warm bed and blankets
2: twp to three boxes of tissues
3: a large paper bag for used tissues
4: large thermal mug full of hot tea and honey.
5: 6 can of chicken noodle soup.
6: TV with a game counsel or cable so you have something to watch and fall asleep to.
7: get a cat or dog to be your cuddle buddy.  If you don’t have a soft furry friend then a       stuffed animal will do.
8: drugs, lots of drugs

Step 3, get your loved one or roommate to become your nurse.
This might be a bit hard for some people but with the right look and attitude you can get them to be your errand boy.  First you have to look sicker than you really are.  I know you may feel like shit but sometimes the outward appearance can fool some people.  So you will need to grease up your hair and dishevel it, put white powder on your face, and dab a little red blush on your nose.  Next wear old bath robes, long sleeve night shirt with sweat pants and shuffle around (in slippers) around the house moaning.  Try going into the kitchen and bang up some pots drop cups and utensils.  Eventually they will want you out of there and escort you back to the room and fix you with whatever you need.

Step 4, rest
This may seem simple, but in today’s society where we need to be connected to everyone all the time it drains you.  So, this may be hard but turn off the phone, computer, tablet, and whatever else connects to the internet.  If you need to email for work limit it to 15-20 minutes in the morning and 20-30 in the afternoon.  Remember you are trying to be rid of this cold fast and quick.
It’s ok to lay in bed and sleep or watch old movies.  The more you sleep and rest the faster the cold will go away.  Do not forget to drink lots of fluids.  Hot tea is the best since it will help break down the mucus in your throat and nose.  Dinking flat sprite or 7-up is good as well.

Just remember the only way to be rid of a cold is to stay in bed with your warm blankets, and just rest.  Between dinking like a fish and resting you should be rid of your cold fast.  Sorry this is a bit wordy but if you made it this far then give your self a high five.  If you have tips of getting well leave them in the comment section below.  See you Monday for what will probably be a boring Monday wrap up.

See you on the other side.
