Ringing In The New Year With 6000+ Views

Good Monday little bots, hope your holiday was great and you were able to spend some time with the ones you love. I had an interesting holiday filled with cutting, slicing, sickness, and the onslaught of dread.

Two days before X-mas is my man and I anniversary. This year its our 9thand I thought it would be great to make steak with blue cheese mash potatoes and veggies. A few minute before everything would be done I decided to open up the bottle of wine. No big deal I've opened bottles before no problem. Well this bottle had a grudge against me and as I was trying to uncork the bottle, the tool I was using slipped and chipped the edge of the bottle and sliced my wrist wide open.

Ever cut yourself deep and and just stare at the cut for a while before your brain yells at you to take care of the situation. Well I did that before I ran in the bathroom shouting ordered to my man to make sure the food did not burn. It was a good enough cut to where I could have gone to the hospital to get a stitch or two but I decided to wrap it up and if it looks supper bad I would put some supper glue on the cut to stop it from bleeding. Luckily the wound stopped bleeding after a while and I wore a bandaid for a few days. It still feels sore but looks alright.

I spent X-mas and a couple days after that at my parents house. It is still a construction zone and didn’t look like my mom's usual x-mas. But everything was still great, got a lot of gifts, forgot to take picture of them, and had some wonderful food. Unfortunately that wonderful food I think mad me sick. For the past 2-3 days I've had a sour stomach, nausea, and back end problems. I don’t know if the food is to rich or I caught a stomach bug but I would like it to go away now so I can be normal again please.

Since my hands could only carry so much and not feeling well I had to leave a majority of my gifts behind. I want to go back and put everything in a big box and bring it to my apartment now! But what I did bring back were some cloths and much needed pans which my man enjoyed very much. Also upon returning home I was informed that my man's best friend and his girl friend are coming over for New Years eve. I don’t mind his friend, heck I like the guy and he is a friend of mine; but that girl he dates I can not stand for the life of me.

I don’t know if in previous posts/blogs I've mentioned this girl (I'm sure I have at some point) but she is one of the dumbest people I've ever met. Her consent stoner attitude mixed with red neck crazy makes me want to punch her, her forgetfulness and lack of cleanliness (she gets these skin diseases that you can only get from a crack house) sends me up the wall. So yeah, I don’t like socializing with this girl. But I guess I will be nice like I always fucking am and will be scrubbing down the furniture and floor after they leave.

Hope you little bots have a great New Year I will post something up on Friday don’t know yet but I will. Thank you for pushing me over the 6000+ mark before the year's end, I will be posting more videos with my man in this up coming year stay tuned for more info on that. See you in 2015!

Sad Week and Happy Holidays

With less than 3 days till x-mas I bet some of you are trying to fight the crowds for last minute christmas gifts and screaming at your computer for not having 1 day delivery available anymore. Lucky for me I did all my shopping in 1 day and now just have to find them to wrap them all up and haul them over to my parents house. While I look forward to this week and seeing my family there is going to be a dark could hovering over my mom and I this holiday season.

I cant remember if I posted anything on twitter, but my long dear friend Annie the horse had to be put down last Monday. Ironically it was after I posted Monday's blog that I got a call from my mom saying she could not get her to stand up. When you cant get a large animal to stand up the odds are that they will never get up again. She was suffering from arthritis and cushion’s disease for many years and sadly over the past two months her arthritis was causing her so much pain she could barley move around. The humane thing to do was to put her down. My mom had some neighbors help dig a hole to burry her in the arena and place her in it.
Annie Derpping out while getting her teeth checked

Tuesday I went over for a few days to comfort my mom and to help finish bury our poor horse. I've know that horse for almost all her life, she came into our at the age of 3 years old after being abandoned in the Alaskan wilderness in the middle of winter. She was 25 when she passed and one of the last childhood pets. She was a good gentle giant who loved everyone she meet. It's hard to say goodbye to a pet and especially one that has been with your for over 20 years. Miss you Annie.

Sorry for the sad bit there, just wanted to say Happy Holidays to you little bots. There will not be a post on Friday this week but I will post something next Monday which will be the last one of this year!

Less Than 12 Days Till X-Mas

Top of the Monday morning little bots.  looking around my apartment I see that Christmas is next week... fuck...  good news i have all the gifts bought, bad news i need to wrap them.  I hate warping why cant i just toss them in a garbage bag and say here.  I know I could buy gift bag but they are expensive and I don't want to go out to the dollar store in no man's land to buy them either.  I'm just going to be glad when all the tourist finally leave and I can get around my city with out a large group of people clogging the street.  KNOW YOU FUCKING SPACE PEOPLE!

I'm just glad my weekend was stress free, made some crab dip and had king crab for dinner last night.  I feel sorry for people who cant eat seafood, but then again that is more for me.  Surprisingly Pikes Market wasn't that crowded Sunday morning so mental note, go there on Sundays.

Other than eating delicious seafood, I've been getting back into my workout routine.  Fingers crossed I can lose some inches every where before ECCC.

Sorry for the lack of excitement, I was going to get a project this month but now I has been pushed back to the beginning of the year.  Been a little bit depressed of the lack of work, and the work that has been offered to me has been pro bono and I don't do that shit no more.

I will have a geek gift idea for couples this Friday and a blog next Monday but no Friday blog next week.  I will be celebrating my dad's birthday and out of town for the good portion of next week.

I'm Finished!

It's done, it's over, completion....checked! I have finally finished Dragon Age Inquisition! It only took me 90 hours to complete every damn little side quest (fuck you slow ass cow) and the ending with out spoiling left me wanting to play the DLC coming out for the game or the next Dragon Age game to complete this arc that finally is interlocking the games.

So happy to be done, and I can play the game again without doing every side quest worrying about the outcome.

The rest of the week consisted of getting back to my workout routine, cleaning, and watching bad movies with my man. The 2 most notable were Tusk and Mr. Babadook. Tusk is a Kevin Smith film and is a comic version on human centipede... it was bad and I am surprised he was able to get the actors to do this film. Mr. Babadook is a british horror film that has been getting rave reviews but as some one is is scared easily by horror films this is not frightening at all and you find yourself hating every character in this film. How it got high reviews is beyond me.

This week I plan on warping presents and hoping I slim down before the holidays. I hate this chin action i've developed... gah so fat. See you bots Friday for some x-mas gift ideas 2014 style.

Top 5 Things I'm Obsessed With This Week

Happy Friday little bots, I thought I would shake things up and share with you all what I've been loving/ obsessing over this week. So here we go!

  1. A New Carmen Sandiego Game!
Growing up in the late 80's and threw the 90's my family played the shit out of Carman Sandiego. I also watched the cartoon and the PBS game shows ( yes there were two different game shoe for Carmen). This week on the early morning news of all places I heard that the evil villain herself is coming back!
Its an app that is still in development but you can sign up on their website and follow up on facebook for update and to see where she strikes next! Click here for the website to sign up: Carmen Sandiego Facebook news: Carmen's Facebook.

  2. 100 Years of Makeup/Hair in 1 minute
I saw this video earlier this week and it has me so inspired to try some of these styles. Check out the video below:

  3. TellTale Games newest game: Game Of Thrones episode 1
I was pleasantly surprised by the release of tellTale's newest game. It was announced Sunday I believe that it would be coming out this week and Tuesday night my man and I played it. If you have watched the HBO show or read the books this game is a great filler for the up coming season and books. I don’t want to spoil anything just go and buy the season pass, it's going to be 6 episodes long! Click here for more info if you wish: Game Of Thrones

  4. Suicide Squad cast announced
ugh, where to start... First off I was never that crave of the idea for a live action Suicide Squad film. I'm really enjoying the new Suicide Squad comics and with this announcement of the cast this week make my stomach turn. My main concern is with Harley Quinn, her voice is so iconic and to do it in any other way will have me be walking out. To me it seemed like they just picked this cast like they would for a CW show, filled with a lot of pretty people and nonsense drama. Read more on the line up here: Suicide Squad

  5. Wes Anderson Presents: Star Wars Force Awakens Trailer
I watched this yesterday and even if in some strange universe this was a real I would be flocking to the movies to see this.

Are you going to sign up for the new Carmen game, what are your thoughts on the Suicide Squad line up, and do you want to watch me make horrible dissensions on the Game of Thrones game? Let me know in the comments below. Have a good weekend little bots and see you Monday for another week in my sad life.

Thanksgiving Over Stuffed

Happy first day of December little bots. This past week was filled with buying food, prepping, and cooking all the food for my Thanksgiving meal. All day Thursday I was a slave in the kitchen making our meal for just two people. While my man my like having a whole turkey, for now on I will just be buying breasts and a leg if it is going to be only two of us. But our meal was good, no one died, I only nearly cut off my finger nail, and there is more leftover than I want to deal with.

I know I was going to post on Friday but my man's christmas gift to me was delivered early afternoon and I was lounging about upon my gift. I need to take a picture of it but as you know I am a lazy ass.

Have a good week I am hoping to finish up Dragon Age Inquisition. All I need to do is not get so warped up in side quests. Stay warm and avoid trouble little bots!

Dragon Age Inquisition: First Impressions

Happy Monday little bots. Hope you all stayed out of trouble this weekend. All I did last week was play about 25 hours worth of the new Bioware game Dragon Age Inquisition. I just wanted to briefly give you my thoughts, opinion, and issues that I have thus far with the game. Note I am no where near being done and playing on a console, I think I just got into act 2...this is going to be Skyrim for me all over again.

If you don’t know what the game is about well here is your synopsis:
Inquisition is the third installment of the Dragon Age series where it finally ties in the previous two games to give us a comprehensive story to this series. You play as a (human, elf, dwarf,or qunari) who is a (mage, warrior, or rouge) who attends the conclave to resolve the mage templar war/rebellion. Your Inquisitor stumbles out of the fade after an explosion wipes out the temple of Sacred Ashes, and he/she almost immediately falls unconscious with a green glowing mark on there hand. Soon after closing the main rift with your new glowing accessory the inquisition is formed to help close all the rifts and bring back peace and order to the world.

What I love:
This world is big, like Skyrim big. You can spend hours in one area completing side quests to help gain more perks for the inquisition. Every terrain is different, the dungeons are not repetitive (cough DA2) overall very beautiful to look at. It's also nice to encounter different types of enemy in different maps.

There is crafting items and upgrades allowing you to customize your inquisitor gear and your fellow companions gear as well. The combat controls for the console works well, the option to be tactful like a PC player is there but lets be honest I run and bash people without a thought.

I love the fact you can have your custom stories from the previous game imported into this game. Mind you you have to login or create an origins account and use there Dragon Age Keep website to be able to do this. But if you have never played the previous games before it is a great way to catch up on the story and make your game more customize to you. Thus far I am loving the story and all my inquisitors inner circle and counsel.

What I don’t like:
It seems every game released this year has had it's share of bugs, glitches, and unplayable options. Sadly this game is not the exception. I've encountered glitches with NPC characters where they have sunken into the ground while talking to them, magically fly across the screen to stand where they are suppose to, and of course this:

While the flailing arms and mid air is kinda funny it goes to show the games imperfections. While these glitches amusing there is one thing that I absolutely loath and I've so far have run into it twice. It is when your character is having a dialog cutscene and there is a long awkward pause in the middle of some one talking. The only fix is to skip that portion of the dialog to have it running again. The only problem with that is now may have missed something and now stuck with the speech text on the screen.

I am enjoying this game thus far and highly recommend it to anyone who love playing fantasy games. Even if you have not played the other two the Dragon Keep helps fill in the gaps. Have a great Thanksgiving little bots. I'll see you friday for my Thanksgiving bitch out time.

I'm In A Vlog!

Hi little bots, if you follow me on twitter you know that the new
Dragon Age game has taken over my life and being only 10 hours in I
still feel like I'm only I the beginning of the main story.  The areas
are huge and so diverse might do a review/impression on Monday since
that is all I've been doing this week.  To be honest I original wasn't
excited about the Inquisition game due to DA 2 being so awful.  But so
far so good.

To fill the void I was in the Impossible
Possible volg video that was filmed last week during the Women In Film
event.  I appear with Jamie from Impossible/Possible and Tracey from
Women In Film.  Check out the video below we appear 40 seconds in if you
want to jump to that part.

Have a great weekend and see you Monday for my thoughts and impression on Dragon Age Inquisition.

Early X-Mas Gifts and Plans

My aren’t you little bots looking so fancy toady. Had a good weekend? Happy that the holiday video games are out or coming out? I am!

This past week I saw the end result of Women In Film Event that I helped out on in the planing comity. I think it was a good experience, disappointed that I didn’t/couldn’t network with the attendees since I was working the front desk. How every I did prove myself as an asset due to the large number of people joining the WIF group that night.

On Thursday night I was going to see a Jazz group from New Orleans but when my friends and I got to the venue the had canceled for the night due to being stuck in Idaho. Curse you cold weather storm! The bright side was finding a scotch bar with over 100 types of scotch. I'm such a lush.

If you read my blog last Friday, you would know that I dropped out of the cosplay commercial thing. You can read about on the blog. Im still on the email chain and they have yet to release a location, time, and script for this project...which is to shoot this weekend...Sunday I believe.

This weekend I saw Interstellar at the Imax theater. Some people were complaining about the sound design and the mix being to loud, but I found the mix to be spot on as was the design. Maybe they watch the film in a bad theater with a poor speaker system. I truly enjoyed it not going to spoil it but make sure your theater has a good speaker system before you watch. So much space organism!

After the film my man surprised me by going to Macy's and buying me my christmas present. What is it you may ask, well I'm going to show you when it arrives to keep you in suspense. All I can tell you is that it was expensive and I've been wanting/needing it for the past 2 years.

Have a good week little bots, remember to plan out your Thanksgiving menu. I will be sharing my menu and taking pictures of my cooking/food for next weeks friday blog. See you Friday for a rant or something.

Bitch'n Friday: Organizing Events

Burr, I'm freezing my my butt off little bots. It's been in the low 30's at night all this week and the sun during the day does not p the temperature in the slightest. Any way the past couple days has been a whirl wind of dealing with bad organization to the point where I had to back out of one event due to my frustrating of poor communication and commitment.

With any event things sometimes are forgotten until the last minute, this happened to me this past tuesday on the day of the Women in Film event. Our head of organizing forgot all about the music and thus a last minute playlist was created by me to at the party. Lesson learned by me not to spend so much time working on a playlist since the venue used Pandora radio instead. Yeah I was a little butt hurt but I didn’t let it show and overall the event was a huge success.

The biggest pet peeve I do have is when there is no communication, planing, and just flying off the seat of your pants. If you read my last post I mentioned that I was going to do a commercial shoot for a video game for a friend of a friend. But with several weeks of no communication and moving dates back and no clear plan of what everyone is wearing or doing; I backed out of the project. Instinct is telling me that this project will go no where. Last I heard it was still going on next weekend with no tentative location and still no character sheets.

If you are throwing an event or film project at least have a plan 1 month out of your event date and inform everyone involved. Make a list, check it twice, and if you are in over your head ask for help to organize the thing. There is nothing worse than scrambling to get shit done the day of the event.

So that it for my ramblings, think I'm being to harsh or have your own horror story I would love to know about it in the comment section below. Have a good weekend little bots and I will see you Monday.

I'm Alive and Back!

If my little bots are still out there, thank you for sticking it out these past few weeks as I move and take care of family. I've been working to the bone packing, moving and putting everything away in our new bigger place. I was was going to write last monday, but I was sidelined to helping my mom out at her home while she recover from her face surgery. Regardless I will be going back to a regular schedule this week.

So some exciting news, I cant remember if I mentioned this before, but my man and I was recruited by a friend to be in a commercial for an up coming game. I'm playing the union boss and I'm supper excited to be part of it. We should be filming this weekend or next. Either way I need to get my look together.

In other good news the Women in Film Recruitment Event that I've been helping is finally here! Well tomorrow is the event, but I don’t have to call any more companies for a while. I hate cold calling people and companies but surprisingly I did get a couple of companies to send up stuff, so go me!

Other than helping out my mom and WIF I found some time to go out and have fun. I participated in the Geeks Who Drink Ghostbusters Event (my man and I dressed up as ghostbusters). I can proudly say out of 17 teams our team came in 5th! Go Ecto Coolers! We also went out to dinner with some there friends to Kingfish Cafe, best chicken in town! And finally I spent way more than I wanted at Lush on bath bombs. So far i've only used the sparkler (the long yellow stick in the pic below) and I loved the send and sparkles it left behind.

Thank you once again for sticking it out little bots, I've been a bad bad blogger. I don’t have anything coming up that would hinder me to not write here, but if I do please check twitter to check out why I cant write. Have a great week and see you Friday.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween little bots! Just wanted to say a quick Happy Halloween and I'm not dead but I look it!  after two weeks of packing, moving, and unpacking I'm officially moved into my new place!  Its soooo much bigger and has a ton more light, no more dark caverns lift for me.

I will be back to my regular schedule of updates this coming Monday.  in the mean time enjoy this impromptu photos of me using temporary tattoos for this months Loot Create.

Moving So No Updates For A Few Weeks

If you follow me on Twitter last night I posted that I am moving into a new apartment. This was completely fast, my man and I have been talking about moving into a bigger for the past year and 2 spots opened up in our building. We were notified by our leasing agent on Monday that 2 apartments are available; one now and the other in November. After looking at the apartments we decided to act fast and snag the bigger of the 2 apartments especially since apartments in our build go quick. How quick you might ask, well we we looking at one the day before and the next day it was gone.

So as a result on this rash decision, I have less than 2 weeks to pack up and vacate our loft and move everything into a 2 bed and 2 bath home. I don’t know what I will do with so much space now!

Sadly for you little bots I will not be posting anything up on this blog until after the move. But I will still be tweeting and Tumblr-ing so follow up on updates of my packing and the dreaded unpacking... so boring I know.

In other news this past weekend I helped a friend out on his 48 hour horror film, luckily I only had to show up the last 7 hours to do my thing. When I can show you bots the film I will. The 48 hour committee has a weird thing about about showing the films before the awards are announced.

So thank you little bots for understanding my short hiatus, I promise I will be back in 2 weeks. Keep your eyes posted on Twitter for any updates. To not leave you guys in the dark hole void enjoy this skit from Key&Peele about texting... I to over react/miss read texts a lot.

New Restaurant Tastings

I'll make this brief for you lovely bots with your work pilling up and school thinking it's time to up the ante in your academic career. So glad I don’t have to go to school anymore. When you are finished with schooling all you want to do is flip desks and say “I'm out bitches!”

This past week my back has been killing me. I don’t know if I slept on it wrong or tweaked it by moving weird, but the pain sucks ass. It's finally manageable but still hurts if I move a certain way. I wish I had some pain killers, like the strong shit you can only get from the doctor, so all this can go away. Or at least the illusion of it being gone.

To ease my pain my man and I went out to a new restaurant called Bell+Whete. It's old world food with a modern twist. I had many of their cocktails, all of which were delicious. There food played on savory with some hint of sweet carmalization. We are defiantly going back to try their happy hour menu and beer selection. You can check out there website here: Bell+Whete

Well my lovely enjoy your week, if it's sunny go outside. If it's rainy stay in and catch up on gaming.
Probably not going to do a Friday blog this week, but on the slim chance that I do please keep a look out on Twitter for my posting.

To Busy, Here Is A Quick Post

I'm a bit distracted this week and haven't had time to play the 2 games I was considering writing a review for.  The first one was Shadow of Mordor that came out this past Tuesday.  From what little I've played with it's reminiscent of the Batman Arkham games in terms of fighting style and free roam.

The second one I really wanted to do but I felt that I needed to play more of it to do it justice was the Beta for The Crew.  The Crew is an MMO car racing game with some story (it has more story in the first 10 minutes than Destiny, ha! take that Destiny!) where you and your crew take down other crews around the USA.  You can drive from coast to coast on or off road, upgrade and customize your cars, race against other people, and play some revenge story that you don't care about.  Like I said, I need to play more of it but I thought I would at least give you guys a game trailer and a link to the Beta to try it out for yourself.

New House Pet

Good Monday to you little bots. Fall is finally here in Seattle; more rainy and cold weather to come so I can finally put away my shorts and tinny tops that I feel like a walrus in. I'm miss wearing boots (they are are so uncomfortably warm in the heat) and I can wear dark colors and not feel hotter than wearing lighter colors. And yesterday I finally had a pumpkin spice latte and a burned out my last summer smelling candle, now my apartment will smell of pumpkin and spices!

This past week my man bought a new addition to our family... a roomba. I think it is his subtle way of telling me that I suck at cleaning the floor. The cat were afraid of it at first but are now warming up to the little vacuum that moves their food dish around. As soon as one figures out that they can sit on it and go for a ride, I'm filming that shit!

The rest of the week consisted of me job hunting, setting up meetings, and playing some Destiny. That game still sucks, it's one giant grind mission after another, and the only time it is fun is when you play with your friends and you all are above level 24. It's the only new game out so that is why so many people are playing, but as soon as November and December releases roll out I bet you all a bunch of people will stop playing Destiny.

This weekend I meet with my good director friend of mine for an up coming project. The upside is I defiantly have the gig; the down side it's not until February. So back to scrounging up gigs and jobs until then. Also this weekend my man and I visited my mother for the day to help her set up her printer/scanner. Well my man set that up while I played with the doggies. It was nice to have my boyfriend visit and we all interact with each other.

This week is more of the same, finding work, cleaning house, going insane. Oh! I found my new favorite nail polish! It's by ciat`e and its textured and black with green sparkles in it. I just love it! Have a good week my little bots and finger crossed I figure something out for Friday's blog.

5000+Page Views!

First off than you little bots for the 5000 page views in less than 2 years! When I opened up my blogger page today and saw this I was in shocked. This past January which was the bench mark for year one of this blog and I think I was around 2000 page views... but to be at 5000 before my year 2 bench mark is blowing my mind right now. I know I was off line for the past two weeks, desperately find work and jobs were preoccupying my time and energy. Also helping out the parents and a financial situation with my man had my head in a tail spin.

The week before last, my dad was home early from Peru not because he is finally retiring but a wild mountain dog that runs lose around their job site bite him on his hand. As a result he had to be rushed home to recover and get a clearance from his American doctor to go back to work. But while he was here I visited them a couple of times, went out to dinner and lunch, some shopping, and they gave me an early Christmas present! A hat/coat/umbrella stand! I've been needing on forever. I love it so!
So on monday of last week my dad was good to go and flew back to Peru.

Also last Monday I saw Neil DeGrasse Tyson show at the Paramount theater. If you follow me on twitter @SchadGirl you would have seen my gleefully tweets about this show. But to sum up for you lovely bots if you have the chance to to see him live do your self a favor and do it! Even if it means eating rice and beans for a month. It's more of a history and reflective piece and it lasted for us over 3 hours, well worth the price tag.

The day after I had to send two days over at my moms house while she recovered from a pre skin cancer treatment. She couldn’t leave the house and live in complete darkness for 2 days. It was a friendly reminder to never go out into the sun. I was going to come back home on friday, but I convinced my mom to finally get a smart phone for her and I. You read that right, i've been using a basic phone that could only call and do text. But I am no finally caught up to the 21st century and loving my new phone. However this delayed me from coming home by two days. I had to teach my poor mom how to use her new phone and set up some features for her.

I'm back now, have some meeting with a good director friend of mine for some up coming projects! Been playing a little bit of Destiny and I have to say it gets old really fast. Unless you are playing with friends, you will get board and the lack of story will make you scream. If you want me to do a full review let me know in the comment section below or on twitter. Thank you once again little bots for 5000+ page views and I will let you know where we are at come our 2 year blog date.

The Boring Life

Hey little bots, a day late blog but I figured you lovely people are too busy playing Destiny right now to even notice my delay. Not that I had much to say about this past week, job hunting and looking for part time work is so much fun to talk about. Yes I live the boring life but you keep coming back to read about.... odd.

The only new news is that I have started exercising regularly again. And we all know how well I've stayed on track in the past. Just this past Monday I've already messed un my limited calorie intake and as a result my body is mad at me. So now I cant trust a fart and eating broth type soups. I'm hoping that this only lasts a day so I can get back to working out. My goal is to finally be rid of my belly fat by the time ECCC 2015 rolls around. Get it roll...fat rolls... I like puns a little too much.

Well this week is going to be more of the same as the past, but with maybe some play time for Destiny just to see if they even developed a story for that game. Catch you all Friday for another blog posting.

Bitch'n Friday: Good Month For Game Releases

Now that the summer slump of new game is over, it is time to focus in on the up coming game for fall and christmas season. Already September has pushed out peaked my interest in up coming games that have released and soon to be. Here are a few that I'm going to buy or have already purchased.

Dance Central Spotlight (Xbox One) – Out Now
I've been waiting for over a year for the new installment to come out for the One and it is worth it. The improved motion tracking with the kinect is so much better, I love the new and improved Fitness section. The routines change and keep you on your toes every time you play the same song. For $10 the game comes with only 10 songs; some people will not like the fact that it has become a micro-transaction game, but I see it as a way to truly customize your playlist and dance to the song you like. I recommend it for those who want a more dance routine workout or a game night game.

Minecraft (Xbox One, PS4) – Out Now
It's finally out on the next gen consoles after months of waiting and pushed back released dates (the One edition was released a day early along side of PS4). The worlds are bigger, textures looks about the same from the previous gen, and and you can import you already created worlds so you don’t have to recreate them! Hours of soul sucking commence!

Destiny (Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3) - September 9
One of the first big titles to kick off the Fall games. I'm still curious and on the fence about this game, interested to see if they can flush out a story. You can read my thought on the Beta here: Bitchn' Fridays: Destiny Beta Review

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (Xbox One, 360, PS4, PS3, PC) - September 30
This game seem interesting to me, an open world where you can choose what type of game style you want to play sound amazing. Check out Rooster Teeth demo of the game.

What fall games are you excited to play? Let me know in the comment section below.

Hair Change

Good Monday little bots, hope you are all enjoying this Labor Day weekend before you go back to school or work. Both PAX and Bumpershoot is wrapping up today, so no more obnoxious teens and young 20 passing by my apartment coming to/from Bumpershoot! With the kids going back to school and summer winding down I can finally relax and not yell at people to move away from my window at 1 in the morning.

This past week has been uneventful, mostly been working on vamping up my resume and cover letters. Since it was so boring I decided to change up my hair. On Wednesday I decided to do the hair color my mom has been wanting me to do for the past two years... ombre hair... in green... so I would look like a tree. I had to go to two different stores, both of which were on the opposite ends of town for the bleach kit that I have used in the past. To achieve a true ombre hair I should have gone to a professional but fuck it I was on a budget of under 30 dollars. Over all I was pleased with my outcome.

I ordered the green dye online so I had to wait two days before I could dye the ends green. The dye I used was Manic Panic Green Envy, it was the darkest green I could find with out it being to turquoise. Once it arrived on Friday I immediately put it on the ends of my hair and a little bit into the brown parts as well. I usually leave bright colored dyes in for at least two hours on dry hair so it can absorb into the strands of hair. Washing it out in a cold shower, I was afraid it would all wash out, but to my amazement it stayed in! And now I have this fabulous shade of green in my hair. I love putting it up, it does resemble a tree.

For the rest of the weekend, my man and I stayed in avoiding the crowds of people and the hassle to get any where in the city. I did make these amazing doughnuts that are doughnut muffins! They are so good and addicting, you can find the recipe here: Doughnut Puffs

While I was a little sad not attending to PAX Prime this year, I am looking froward to Emerald City Comic Con next year. I really need to start working out hard core again, starting now. Those doughnut muffins were my last temptation! See you guys Friday for a rant or something.

PAX Food and Tourist Guide

Happy Friday little bots. While I may not be at PAX Prime this year, I still wanted to do a little guide for those who are attending. This is mostly for where to get food, slip away from the crowds, and where to unwind other than your hotel room.

Breakfast:
If you don’t want to eat from your hotel's complimentary breakfast, there are vast options for you to go out to eat. Remember a good meal before you head into the convention will keep you alert and energized all day. Here are a few suggestions on where to go:

Seatown: Tom Douglas is one of the top chefs in Seattle, he owns many restaurants and I would suggest you should try at least one before you leave town. Seatown has a great basic and some so basic breakfast options. Located on the edge of Pike's Market, the prices are great, the food is good, and you can swing threw the market after wards to pick up some snack to eat while at PAX.

Sun Liquor : Want to get away from the crowds? Head up to Capitol Hill
Saturday or Sunday to try Sun Liquor's brunch. Set in a local distillery where they make gin and vodka, it is one of the only distilleries in the country to also serves as a bar & restaurant. If you are old enough try some of their sprites they make in house. The best part, all brunch items are under 10 bucks!
5 point cafe: Set in Belltown just a block away from the Seattle Center lies the 5 Point Cafe. This 85 year old bar is the perfect fix for your greasy spoon food. Open 24 hours a day, you can get breakfast any time you want. This is a great place to cure your hang over the night before.

Where to grab food for later that day:
It is essential to have snacks on hand while at the convention. You don’t want your stomach to be growling while waiting in line or in a panel. Pike Place Market if you go early in the morning is great place to get fresh fruits and veggies to snack on, the key is to go early before the big crowds come. There is also City Target just up the street from Pike's Market where you can grab your usual junk food must haves. But say you want a good sandwich for later that day, stop by Dahlia Bakery to grab food on the go. Not many people will be there and the line goes pretty fast. Another option is to grab doughnuts for early morning meal or afternoon pickup, the best doughnuts in town is Top Pot doughnuts.

Coffee:
it's everywhere in Seattle, I'm serious, you cant walk 10 feet with out bumming into a coffee shop. You don’t need to go far to find coffee around the convention center. There is the always reliable Starbucks, or if you want to try other options there is the Nordstrom Ebar or Caffe Lardo.

Large Group Dinning:
If you normally have a large group to eat with, it's hard to find a restaurant that will accommodate your group. To combat this is is important to make a reservation at least by 3pm. That way you are not waiting for over 2 hours for a table. Here are a few places to go away from the crowds with your group:

Local 360: This place screams everything Seattle. Fresh local food, and drinks right in the heart of Belltown. This place is great for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Icon Grill: Want something that reminds you of home? Look no further than the Icon Grill; serving Seattle since 1998 with dishes like Mac&Cheese, Fried Chicken, and Prime Rib there is something for everyone on this menu. Like Local 360, you can come here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bonus points for it being a 5 minute walk from the convention center.

Rhein Haus – formerly, Von Trapp's: If you really want to get away from the PAX crowd, head up to Capitol Hill for some great Bavarian food. Walking in you feel like you are going into a beer hall in Germany, the beer is great as is the food and they have 5 indoor bocce ball courts. A great place to relax before another day of PAX.

Ivars: Ivars is Seattle, Seattle is Ivars and we love our acres of clams and chowder. Located on the iconic waterfront on Pier 54 you can not beat the views of the ferry’s coming into port. Great seafood you do not want to miss this little piece of Seattle history.

Unwind/ Where to go:

Now sometime you would like to get away from the convention center and relax for an hour or two. Sometimes you don’t want to sit in a hotel, why not instead go to Pikes Market and go on a Food Tour. See the different side of the market and sample the great foods of the Northwest. Or go to the Seattle Public Library with its unique design both exterior and interior. Normally I would say go ride the monorail to check out the Seattle Center but Bumpershoot is this weekend as well and the crowds over there are ridiculous, DO NOT GO!
If you only have an hour and your feet are killing you, swing into Julep for a relaxing pedicure. Need some comics to read for the trip back home, go to Zanadu Comics they have a large collection of trades and new comics.

Hope this helps you for your trip to PAX or any other convention taking place in Seattle. If you are attending this weekend have fun and be safe. See Monday for a weekly update.
